What's one thing about your job at Corgin that motivates you?

Travelling the length and breadth of the UK, helping a diverse range of customers with their dust or odour challenges!

What's a book/methodology/piece of advice that has influenced your approach to work?

I believe passionately in the adage “people buy from people”. Some would argue that it doesn’t apply for everything you buy (e.g. groceries from a supermarket). However, in a business context where you’re trying to resolve customer pain points, then I believe it’s essential to be out there in front of people. People look for “trusted advisors”, who seek to understand them and their needs, people who are focused on building confidence and providing solutions.

What's your favourite team tradition or team-building activity at Corgin?

Well, I’m still waiting for someone to arrange something really adventurous and energetic, like a team hike up Snowdon!

Which company value resonates with you the most, and why?

Focusing on solutions. As mentioned above, what drives me is the thought that I can solve somebody’s problem and make their life easier. I believe I can only do this effectively with a solutions-focused mindset, i.e. I’ll aim to find a solution to every problem, not the other way round.

What would be your dream job?

I’m not sure if I’ll surprise you with this answer, but after being in a sales role for 27 years, I sometimes think it would be interesting one day to try something completely different. A teacher? Footballer? Journalist? Pilot? Prime Minister? The jury’s still out, but I’ll let you know what I decide!
